Morons, Idiots, and Know Nothing Professors

I went out to the forums on the net today looking for information on the new Corvette ZO7 / Blue Devil, and much to my surprise all I found were people who wanted to be combative, and were not really having a intelligent discussion on the topic, they wanted to combat the validity of the new ZO7, or if it was going to be released at all, it was a lesson in stupidity, a lesson that I did not wish to learn.

Why people with low, or no intelligence are allowed to comment on forums that are reputed to be professional and have people of knowledge, I will never understand, the net is turning in to a repository of idiots, and little kids who want to do battle on that which they know nothing of, and some how it gets posted any way.

I go to these places on a quest for knowledge of new things, and to learn about the new ideas of the motor companies, usually GM, and I can't state enough how horrible it makes me feel to see this sort of thing happening, how is a person who really wants to gain knowledge on these subjects supposed to get anything done on the net.

I've been using the net for the past 20 years to learn about new things happening in the automotive industry, and it would seem that nobody else is using the net for the same reason that I do, and so I bid a happy farewell to the forums on the net, and a happy farewell to those morons, idiots and know nothing professors therein.

I guess I will have to figure out another way to get my information on the net, or just go back to the good old standby, my car books, where I never have to deal with morons, idiots, or know nothing professors again.

I've been in the automotive business for about 20 or 25 years, I have worked in all facets of the industry, from parts to restoration, all different makes and models, I just want to keep people interested in the old cars because it's where my heart is.
