Almost all the mobile technologies and features those appearing on the mobile handsets of Sony Ericsson do appear in the BlackBerry mobile handsets as well. Yet, mobile phones belonging to these two brands may differ in their performance because of their different capabilities.

Whether it be Sony Ericsson or BlackBerry, mobile phones belonging to these brands are loaded with the latest technologies and features. The features like camera, internet, Bluetooth, EDGE, media player, games and many other features are common in many of the handset belonging to these brands. However, these and many other features in the mobile handsets of both the brands may differ in their capabilities and performance.

Just consider the Sony Ericsson W350i Lilac and the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Red. Camera is a common feature in both these handsets but it differ in terms of capabilities. The camera of the W350i is 1.3 megapixels and that of the BlackBerry Pearl is 2 megapixels. These camera features along with many other inputs are capable enough to help the user to capture smart and quality photographs. With the Sony Ericsson W350i, one can even upload the select photographs to the Blogs to be viewed by his or her friends. The user would also love to experience video photography with either the W350i or the Pearl 8120.

These mobile phones differ in their memory capacities as well. The Sony Ericsson W350i Lilac has a data storage capacity of 14 MB along with the option of memory expansion via Memory Stick Micro card. Whereas, the internal memory of the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Red is 64 MB and its external memory capacity is expandable with the help of a microSD memory card. In fact, it does not matter whether it is the W350i or the Pearl, a user can store tons of data on each of these smart phones.

The other important difference between the Sony Ericsson W350i Lilac and the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Red can be marked in the life of the battery. When the batteries of these camera phones are charged completely, the W350i can deliver approximately 7 hrs. of talktime and 300 hrs. of standby time. One would normally come across mobile phone restricted zones wherein people are not allowed to use mobile handset as its usage in those areas may be hazardous. Fortunately, the user of the W350i need not much worry even while in such areas because its users can at least utilise some of the harmless features of this gadget with the help of the flight mode functionality.

It appears trivial, but the voice dialling feature on the Pearl has also proved to be very useful. The user of this device need not scroll the contact list in order to make a call. As such, it cuts down the effort on the part of your finger and such option does matter a lot to many of the users. Above all, the other inevitable mobile features these days are the Bluetooth and the EDGE. As mobile phones are meant for connectivity, these technologies do boost a lot in this regard. The Bluetooth will always help the users of the Sony Ericsson W350i Lilac and the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 Red to have wireless connectivity and the EDGE will go a long way in making connectivity function efficiently.
