How Does One Feel About The Efforts of One's Co-Workers?
A Mixed bag of thoughts and feelings depending on the personal and professional characteristics of the person in question.

There are great and efficient workers with questionable personal attributes.
There are excellent people with poor set of work related skills
There are pathetic workers with deplorable personas, AND
There are wonderful, top notch colleagues with exemplary attitudes.

No organisation is immune to this awesome foursome of categories.

Our response to them, our dymamics of equations at work and the matrix of relationships therein is a result of the chain of reactions set off by each of these conductors.

Isn't it???

I thought I'll try & answer Aruna Dhir's query/post/food-for-thought here.

1. There are great and efficient workers with questionable personal attributes.

Prabhjot| Definately want them on the team, but wouldnt go drinking with them, until unless I need something questionable done! These guys make things happen. These are the ones who say 'The end justifies the means'

2. There are excellent people with poor set of work related skills.
Prabhjot| really sack them. if you cannot work, what are you doing at a workplace? this is deadwood and should go as soon as possible. just coz they are nice, I think one should tell them nicely and maybe even help discover what might be their true calling.

3. There are pathetic workers with deplorable personas.
Prabhjot| and they were hired becoz? fire them, then fire the HR. wait...get HR to write awesome recommendation letters so that these guys can get jobs at the competition, and once they have all moved to the other side, fire the HR.

4. There are wonderful, top notch colleagues with exemplary attitudes.
Prabhjot| this is easy, treasure them. My only word of caution, do not take them to battle with you.

There you have it!

What would you do? What do you feel about your co-workers?
