Skoda New Fabia Hatchback Premieres at Geneva Motor Show

Skoda Auto will launch its new Fabia Hatchback at the Geneva Motors Show. The new Fabia will sport a larger passenger and luggage compartments. This five-door small-class vehicle is said to be more spacious than its predecessor. Its shape also reflects its Skoda heritage which guarantees its position in the market.

The new Skoda Hatchback offers a fresh design and dynamic body lines which would surely attract dynamic and younger customers. There are seven engine options available for the new Fabia Hatchback and four of which are petrol while the remaining three are diesels-delivering 44 to 77 kW (60-105 hp)---enough to meet customer's requirements for the small class vehicles. The new Skoda Hatchback also boasts of a low emission level of CO2 compared to its competitors from 120g/km. And since it's one of the major subsidiaries of Volkswagen, it makes use of only the best quality VW parts for its car production.

The Fabia model to be presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show is actually a concept vehicle that will present the design of the new model in an elegant blend of colors. The contrast between the black body with a pearl effect and the silver-painted roof creates a combination that is not only impressive but aesthetically appealing. An attractive white painted roof will also be made available for the new mass-produced Fabia.

Aside from the new Fabia, Skoda Auto-Volkswagen's Czech subsidiary---is also planning to present another unveiling in Geneva but this time it's going to be the S2000. The S2000 is a concept car that provides a glimpse on the possibility that Skoda Auto may engaged in motoring sport. Another Skoda vehicle to watch out for is the Roomster Scout which has a distinctive design that offers something special for those who wants to show their unique style and personalities.

The Skoda Octavia and Superb engine range has added two brand new units: a turbocharged 1.81 engine (160 hp) which replaced the four-cylinder 2.0 FSI (110 kW, 150 hp) in the Octavia while the Superb has received a new 85 kW diesel (115 hp) in place of its 77 kW engine used which delivers 105 hp. The new engines are created in accordance with the EU4 emission standard, have powerful torque, and are extremely economical. Visitors on the show will also be given the chance to be familiar with Skoda Auto's complete range of products.

2006 was the best year for Skoda Auto since it was able to sell 549,667 vehicles surpassing the expected sale of the automaker. And comparing it with the automaker's sale for 2005, its sales have increased by 11.7%.
