EMINENT VOCALIST Rimi Basu Sinha, one of India's very few woman composers, brings her offering, Maiyya Ka Darbaar. The album is conceptualized, written, sung and composed by Rimi Basu Sinha  herself.

Rimi Basu Sinha performed some songs from her devotional album at the launch evening to the audience. Besides Rimi Basu Sinha, actors Manoj Bajpayee, Pawan Shankar, veteran writer Brij Katyal, music director Shameer Tandon, eminent classical vocalist Dr. Soma Ghosh, wellknown singers of the likes of Sudesh Bhosle, Shilpa Rao, Narayan Agarwal, artists Amisha Mehta, Gayathri Desai of DD Neroy Art Gallery, Rajat Kaanthi Dharr, and Kiran Chopra graced the event.

Amisha Mehta and Rimi Basu Sinha had an interesting and artistic jugalbandi of sorts with Amisha bringing colours to her her spiritual canvas in conjunction by Rimi Basu Sinha's vocals.

Maiyya Ka Darbaaar sees Rimi welcoming Maa, the Shakti, who is the epitome of divine power and yet, personifies earth itself and stands for cosmic stability. Says Rimi Basu Sinha, "Maa sustains all of us, fills us with hope and joy and showers her love and kindness on us. The album is also a tribute to the fond memory of my departed mother. Hence, though I am more a light music singer and a composer myself, I wanted the current album to be a devotional one. And I am happy Times Music gave me this opportunity." The uniqueness of the album lies in the fact that most of the songs are penned and all are composed by her. Kumar Sanu has lent his voice for the male vocals.
