Online Marketing for Geographical Limited Services

A small business can implement an inexpensive Online/Offline campaign for a maximum exposure, especially if the business offers geographical limited services.

Example:

Let's say you own a nail salon in the Los Angeles area. Your shop has 12 nail stations and 4 Pedicure stations. You shop is more empty then full on most days. You are located in a good area, on a major street and major bus line. Your clientele is working women and about 45% of them catch the bus to work.

You need more customers and you needed them yesterday. Your first thought is to eliminate Online advertising because you need local customers, not customers from around the world, or at least not yet.

So what if an Internet Marketing consultant suggested that you purchase ad space on 3 to 4 transit bus benches. And in the middle of the bench sigh, you put the letters: www.my nail shop.com alone with the words: FREE Pedicure with $5.00 Manicure. All letters would be bold and in a dark color with a white background. You may want to add the address and telephone number of your location in the corners of the ad, so that it won't distract from the word FREE.

Once visitors reach your web site, you would provide a coupon that visitors could print out and bring into the shop. You would also want to provide important information on caring for your feet and how foot reflexology reduces stress! You would also want to explain the benefits of keeping your fingernail well manicured and appeal to men as well as women.

Whenever you say the word "Free" your ad will be read and once customers experience a professional foot massage, they will more then likely return.

Another example of connecting an inexpensive offline ad campaign with an Online campaign would be to purchase pencils, or ink pens if your budget allows, and have your ad campaign printed on the pencils or ink pens: Put "Free Widget" at www. yourwebsite.com Hand out your pencils or ink pens at the rapid transit station when people are on their way to work, or in a busy mall, or a busy street corner. (Be aware that there may be a vendors license requirement for handouts in some cities)

You can use the same idea with an ad in your local penny saver. The key to these campaigns is that your free give away is of value and that you have rich content on your web site once visitors arrive.

Use your imagination, people like fun things and if you can deliver, you are on your way to high traffic and Internet Marketing success.
