If you do decide to join a Network marketing firm as your choice for a hom based business, consider that there are still some folks who, unfortunately, still have a somewhat negative view of these types companies. Never mind that fact that this unique business system had pushed many otherwise financially unsuccessful people into the top echelon of income earners. Sadly, however when this industry was still in it's relative infancy some of the first adherents had bad business models which generally required the new Rep. to stock a ton of products in their garage or basement that would take forever to sell and drag all of their friends and even people whom they barely knew to meetings by their ears.

It wasn't too long after that that the new distributor joined the N.F.L club (No Friends Left). Luckily, though, idea's are gradually changing for the better, thanks in large part to a new business model which is based on technology. Personal Computer Power has been particularly vital,  as it has assisted people in joining this industry who otherwise never would have. Things have certainly changed in this arena in the last 10 years. The new Multi-level firms are what is known as Wave 4 and some of the larger companies such as AT&T are taking notice of it and giving the the Industry significantly more respect. Now, instead of dragging everyone you know to a meeting that they may not want to go to, you could just give them a CD or perhaps a DVD.

Or you could give them handouts such as a brochure or flyer regarding the Opportunity or Products. A three way call with your  could uplineclose the deal and almost instantly you have a new organization member. The firm will often handle most, if not all, training. You can check your numbers online on the internet to see how much you are earning and how your group is doing. It is so much easier now to make a sizeable passive income by utilizing the MLM system. It is really one of the easiest ways to grow a home business venture as the business system itself is well structered and much cheaper to launch than a Franchise operation, perhaps a few hundred dollars.

There is the mistaken idea among some that an MLM company is like a "pyramid" or a "ponzi" scheme. It is definately not. The corporate world might be the pyramid scheme when you think about the odds of earning more salary than any of your superiors. But to earn more than your sponser is a common occurence in direct sales. By some estimates, more millionares are created through network marketing  than any other business system. Some may remember an interview on the "Late Night" show when Letterman asked the Donald what he would do if he lost all his cash and had to start from scratch. He simpy said that he would find a good MLM company and get to work.

Nevertheless, some old ideas remain.
