Goal Setting and the Law of Attraction
With all the current media attention that is being focused on the Laws of Attraction and New Age thinking, there are many individuals out there who are now re-evaluating the importance of goal setting and the power that positive thinking has in achieving these goals. Setting specific goals is as important for you to become successful, as the process by which you actually go about meeting your goals.
Goal setting and the laws of attraction go a long way in providing you with the power of fulfilling a basic need. In the case of psychology, it is commonly believed that every individual will follow a certain pattern of behavior or will act in a specific manner to achieve a desired goal. Thus, setting goals is extremely important to society, as it helps to control and gauge, to a certain extent, the behavioral patterns of individuals within the society.
On the other hand, the laws of attraction simply state that you can attract into your life anything that you think about. According to the law, all your dominant thoughts somehow find a way to manifest.
When establishing certain goals in life, you need to apply the laws of attraction. And, it is very important to set goals that overlap, over a period of time, with one another. In doing this, you can create a continuous flow in your personal development and progress and you can become a lot more productive. Thus, to encourage these laws of attraction, there are certain New Age beliefs that guide you towards developing goals as the days go by. There are two types of goals, long term and short-term goals and these New Age beliefs will help you focus on them all day long, as you go about doing your other activities.
Once your daily goals have been set and re-assessed, you can boost your levels of self-esteem and you will have a greater sense of well being too. Once this feeling sets in, it is time to take the laws of attraction to a whole new level, by using the ability to think positively to bring about a positive change and to achieve goals. In the case of short term goals, your power of thinking positively and promoting the laws of attraction will lead to other smaller achievements, which will in turn lead to long term, bigger success.
Another factor on which short term and long term goals should be set is the basic therapeutic benefit that will give you a more exciting and interesting life. As you go about establishing goals and working through your goal plans, you will develop a more positive, better outlook on life. On account of the positive perception, you will radiate energy that will spread to individuals you come in contact with. In doing so, you will be spreading the laws of attraction to other individuals, who are more receptive and open to these thoughts.
Goal setting is a powerful talent and a beneficial process that should be taught to the youth of today. Instructing children to set their very own goals and establish certain plans for meeting those goals will encourage the opportunity for greater success. It will also boost self-esteem, increase creativity and improve the quality of life. Setting goals helps to enforce and encourage the laws of attraction.
