More and more people are looking a cheaper alternatives to travelling aboard for holidays. Southampton is a great place to visit and if you are looking for some fun on the water there are loads of Southampton rib hire companies. These companies offer bareboat and skippered rib hire from Southampton, for half and full days. Its not just Ribs that are available for hire, you can also opt for Thames barge hire from Southampton.

These large barges often have accommodation so you can go for the weekend or even a whole week. There are also a range of yachts and event racing boats that can be picked up at very reasonable rates. There is a speed limit in Southampton water but this only extends to the pier, then you are in unrestricted waters where there are no limits on speed or wash. If you are experienced then you can take the boats bare boat but for the majority of people a skipper will be required.
