If you liked the taste of meat, you can most likely find a substitute in the raw world.

For those of you who feel like keeping down the calories, but eating delicious, colorful meals, raw vegetables and leafy greens might compose a greater portion of your dietary intake. You can throw some kale or parsley into a smoothie with a bit of superfood algae, like spirulina. Green leafy vegetables actually give you the protein you need to fuel your day, but don't make you gain the weight you might when eating raw meals made from nuts and seeds. Some raw books advocate a high vegetable diet because it is alkaline to the body and is a great way to detox from previous "unhealthy" food choices.

No matter the course you initially decide to pursuit on the raw diet, you can rest assure you will definitely notice positive changes in your health and physical energy. Sure, there might be some occasional indulgences that might not be the best ever. A piece of raw chocolate cake or raw lemon pudding is fine. They are often the way to eat healthier desserts instead of lifeless junk food. If eating raw desserts becomes your thing, there are no end to raw food cookbooks with extensive dessert sections. The pictures are inspiring just alone, but once you taste these tasty, decadent sweet treats you will never go back to baked, flour based, refined food cake.
