Roger Waters concert tickets have been selling out for all venues on the 2010-2011 "The Wall" tour. This is the concert event of the year for music lovers around the world. Nothing is better than a live Pink Floyd show and though Waters is no longer officially a member of Floyd the show will be close to the real deal. The event will have all the top state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment of past Pink Floyd shows. The concert will cover the album "The Wall" song for song through two sets and encores. "The Wall" has not been played live and in full in over thirty years in America. This could likely be the final time that Waters tours at all and most likely the last time this album will be covered live and in its entirety.

Gilmour On The Tour?

All Floyd fans and most rock music fans are aware of the original band's line-up having a bad breakup. The member of the band all began solo careers at which time Waters felt the band was finished and tried to dissolve the name through the courts. Gilmour and Wright were not so enthusiastic over breaking up the band and wanted to continue with albums and tours using the "Pink Floyd" name. Through much litigation Waters was forced to walk away from the band through a settlement, and Gilmour could continue touring and releasing albums under the "Pink Floyd" name. The daunting process left both sides with anger and resentment, which have lasted years. Roger Waters concert tickets for his solo career still remained extremely successful.

In 2008 Bob Geldof, the actor who played "Pink" in the film version of "The Wall" was organizing the G8 concert event. The event was being organized in order to bring attention directly to World leaders for the relief of poverty and increased aid to the third world. Geldof could negotiate a reunion for the founding Pink Floyd members, mainly Waters and Gilmore. The original line-up's last show together as "Floyd " was at Earls Court in London on June 17, 1981. On July 2, 2005 they played a 23 minute set together at the G8 consisting of "Speak to Me/Breathe/Breathe (Reprise)", "Money", "Wish You Were Here", and "Comfortably Numb". Since the show Rick Wright has passed away preventing a full reunion tour of original members from being able to occur.

Still for many fans a full tour with Waters and Gilmour together is strongly desired. Waters did phone Gilmour to see if he would like to join for the entire tour but Gilmour declined and was uninterested. On July 10, 2010 the two rock legends reunited for the first time since the G8 festival for a benefit in England over the weekend. The two were talking over the phone and appear to have reconciled all ill-will. Gilmour wanted to play "To Know Him Is To Love Him" for the benefit and Waters did not think he could handle the vocal. Gilmour made a deal, if Waters would play and sing the song then he would join Roger's "The Wall" tour for at least one show. Perhaps the flood gates have opened, and Gilmour will be more prevalent on this current tour. If not, for those lucky enough to catch the one show Gilmour will be joining are in for a historic night of music.

Roger Waters concert tickets are still on sale for most venues. This is the biggest concert event of 2010, and the tour is set to kick off in September. Some major cities have sold out, and all venues are sure to sell out at some point. If you want Roger Waters concert tickets for the 2010-2011 "Wall" tour then call the box office of the venue as soon as possible. These tickets are going to be highly priced on the secondary ticket market as shows sell out.
