Stress. How To Solve Stress Through Focussing

Wandering of the mind is at first rather pleasant. Especially when you go to sleep it can be pleasant to oversee and reflect on your actions and the things that happened during the day.
But when you want to fall asleep it often becomes difficult to stop your thoughts from wandering. Negative stress is born. Now you don't want those thoughts any more. You wish your mind to be peaceful and empty and you wish that you could fall asleep.
To stop the stress the first thing you should do is focussing. This is difficult when you have so much on your mind, but I suggest that you start to practicing. Whenever your thoughts fly away, bring your awareness back to just one thought. That is necessary, because the stress is only in your mind. You will also learn to save time by not thinking one thing and doing another thing.
If you find this is very difficult to do, start with meditation. Meditation does not have to mean thinking about nothing. You can start by sitting relaxed and think about one thing. It can be about relaxing the muscles of your body. You sit and relax the muscles of your head, you shoulders, your arms your back and your legs. Whenever your mind starts wandering, just know that It doesn't matter, but return to relaxing your body. When you practice this kind of relaxation every day, soon it will become much easier to keep focused for the rest of the day.
Wouldn't it be good when you are at work, to be able to focus only on what you are doing without any distracting wandering thoughts?
Your job will be finished more quickly and you will save time. And more time is the most important thing you need for solving your stress, isn't it? So practice it. Don't allow yourself to think about other things while working. Keep focussed on your job.
The next step is to do everything that you do in focus. When you are cleaning, don't think about the dress you are going to buy, Keep your mind focussed on cleaning. When you wash your car, keep focussing on washing your car and don't think about you job or about money. These are very very good exercises to solve your stress.
