Volkswagen producer of high quality VW relay has made history books when it won the first Rally Championship of Belgium. The win was signed by Freddy Loix and Robin Buysmans, drivers of the Polo S2000 entered by the Belgian VW Club for the TAC Rally at Tielt.

Freddy Loix had warned that there would be "A big TAC attack!" The Polo S2000 driver was really determined to score a maximum Championship points on the narrow and bumpy roads of the Tielt region. And true to his word the gentleman from Limburg comes out on top six times over the fifteen disputed special stages.

Fast Freddy said at the finish line, "I admit that I'm very happy with the result. With René Georges' team, we have developed the car well since Ardenne Bleue in February. She has been through an important weight-loss program. With 25 kilos less, she is more nimble coming out of the directional changes which are quite numerous in this rally."

Both Freddy and Robin has really taken the race seriously up to the point of losing two kilos of body weight. Loix even joked, "It wasn't easy however I practice many sports and my physical condition is very good but I still managed to lose some weight. We now stand rewarded."

Freddy also spoke about their winning car that took the first Belgian Volkswagen victory. He said, "The Polo S2000 is a gem. She has an extremely performant chassis. I can delay my braking periods to the maximum and, in long curves; the Volkswagen car places itself ideally. A great feast."

Freddy was very modest about his victory and forget important details that helped him to win that most coveted Rally Championship of Belgium like for instance his top speed and his incisive steering which enables him to overtake the WRC and the ‘big' Group A modified with a turbo compressed engine---which according to reports show higher levels of performance.

By winning the TAC Rally, Freddy and Robin have not only succeeded in giving Volkswagen its first Rally Championship of Belgium victory but also share the Championship leadership with Larry Cols. "This victory and this first place in the provisional Championship standings are good for the troops' morale. Rendez-vous near Jambes at the end of April for a Rally Wallonia looks promising."
