As your removal day gets closer there's always nerves and emotions usually flying around, with the question "what have I forgotten?" and for even the most organised of movers there's always things that can be missed or forgotten.

You may also be panicking about your items safety on the big day and wondering what are the best packaging materials to ensure they won't get broken or squashed. That's why finding the best packaging materials for your move is one of the most important parts of the move.

The first part of exploring the many different packages that are on offer is to assess the size and fragility of your items. Smaller and fragile items may be best packaged with bubble wrap, white paper and most definitely must be placed in a box after to ensure the ultimate safety package. For larger items, bubble wrap may be a bit unnecessary; however there are many materials that can cater for large items such as wardrobes etc.

Boxes for moving no longer come in one size, so the period when movers crammed in small items and left the larger ones to defend for themselves have now been phased out by the many variety of packaging materials on offer. There are now even mover kits with all the items you need for the perfect packaging solutions.

Padlocks and brightly coloured pens are a must have for your most precious items too. If something is fragile, be sure to state its fragility on the side of a box in a big red pen with perhaps the room it should be designated to also. Padlocks are also great for those items which cannot be transported with you but are definitely in need for extra security.

Tapes, labels and strapping equipment can also be necessary for your moving items and can also be cheaply bought in bulk either on the internet or even at places such as car boots where unwanted items are practically given away.

There are also different materials to choose from with boxes. So those items that are slightly heavier than others, would most probably benefit from a plastic box in comparison to a cardboard one. However be aware these can be slightly more expensive than cardboard.

If you are stuck in finding the right packaging materials for your move, then why not get in touch with the experts. There are plenty of home and office removal products specialists to find the right packaging solution for you.
