When you ask people who are on the job search how do they plan to look for a job, most people say I plan to post my resume on the job search engines and apply to his many jobs as possible. While this may be less time-consuming than other forms of job searching it is not always the most effective. In this article we'll look at three ways you can think outside of the box to find a new job.

Start Your Own Blog

Set up a blog and announce to the world that you are looking for a job and in that blog write daily or weekly comments about how your job search is coming. You would be surprised how many people start reading other people's blogs and someone happens to notice that you are looking for a job and they know of an opening that will let you know it.

Start a Resume Website

Setting up your own resume website will be similar to setting up a blog but the information will be static and will typically not change. In this website you can include your experience, your education, your background, and some personal information about yourself. You can place your website address on your resume and let employers know that they can learn more about you before you can come in for an interview.

Online Networking

There are several websites today that you can do networking via the web. You do not have to go to networking events in your area anymore you can do it behind the safety and comfort of your computer. One of the mops popular is called LinkIn.com and on this website you can make friends, new contacts, and have post message boards view on forums.

If you are finding it difficult to find a job sometimes thinking outside the box is just the ticket if you do all three of these are even just one of these your chances of success in finding a job will improve greatly. Now go out there and get that job.
