Business cards are a part of every businessperson's marketing repertoire. However, with virtually everyone having a business card, you have to do some work to make yours stand out and produce profits for your company. Here are some tips to help you make that happen:
Include More Than Your Number
Traditional business cards simply included the business's name and contact information. That is simply not enough anymore. If you hand out a business card that only gives customers your name and number, it is not going to do much for you. There is plenty of space on a business card, so use it. Include information about your company that will appeal to your customers. Include a slogan or a note about your company's history. You can even throw in a coupon or special offer. That will really make people notice your card.
Use All Available Space
Many people completely ignore the back of their business cards, leaving them blank. That is a tremendous waste of valuable advertising space. When you design your next business card printing project, include the back of the card in your plans. There is plenty of room there to include some of those things that we mentioned earlier.
Make Use of Your Cards
It is really amazing how many businesspeople print up some attractive and useful business cards, but then only hand out a few of them. Many people feel awkward handing out business cards, or forget about them after a short time. Make sure you are not one of them. A business card can be a very good advertising investment if you design them properly and use them correctly, which means handing them out. Ideally, you want to hand them out to your target customers - those people who have a need for the product or service that you provide. However, with business cards, you shouldn't be afraid to give them to as many people as possible.
Get Feedback About your Cards
Here is a great way to use the space on the back of your cards. Include a way for customers to respond to you - right on your business card! Not only can this entice them to actually make use of your card, but it can generate some face to face contact for you with that customer. You can use this area to ask for feedback about your card or about your business, or you can simply ask customers to write in their own contact information.
These tips are all designed to help you maximize the profitability of your business cards. With so many similar cards out there, you have to make yours unique and attractive. You have to give the customer a good reason to notice your card ahead of all of the other ones they have received.
