Cornish Attractions and holidays. If you interested in the best spots to hit in Cornwall then grab a chair and have a read of this. Lets have a look at a choice of destinations and agendas you can complete when in Cornwall. Not only that what you should expect if you are renting a Cornish cottage holiday home. Now I know what your thinking theirs so much, how do I know which is the best. You only get so many holidays a year right? Well I can't tell you what's the best for you, but I have been to these places before and there great for relaxing and there are just some breath taking sites to see.
So lets start with Bodmin Moor. Bodmin Moor has a huge landscape and comes with tonnes of natural history. Not only are there great tracks to go on walks and treks, there are some great sites. You can find stone circles which are dated around 10,000 years ago from the neolithic ages. This is where hunter gatherers used to roam. Not only is there a huge amount of heritage there are also the myths and legends of the moors. You may have heard of the Beast of Bodmin. A large panther like creature that has been spotted several times throughout history. It has yellow ayes a long tail and black fur one to keep an eye out for. I haven't seen and to be honest I don't know what I would do if I did!
Next Up a fantastic place to visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan. This is an absolutely stunning garden rich in plant life and history. There are markings that date back to the great war where soldiers went before departing to such a terrifying descent. It's a very ecological project preserving plant life and well being as much as possible. There was at the time a couple hundred acres of land left untouched when I went and so may be even more beautiful and extravagant as ever now. There are four areas to explore a jungle area, Wider estate, northern gardens(my favorite) and the Horsemoor Hide and Wildlife Project. Definitely check this place out it really is fantastic and quite romantic if you on that type of break.
Finally I am going to finish with the North Coast Path. As you may tell there is a theme with walking and hiking, that's what I like to do. The north Coast Path runs from Bude to Newquay for some 60 miles of breathtaking coastal scenery. There is a particularly fine and varied stretch of coast from The national Trust car park at Port Quin to Pentire Head on the Camel Estuary.
Finishing up then where to stay? A hotel, Cornish holiday cottages, caravan sites well there all a different level of luxury and you'll probably get a better place depending on the budget. Personally I go with the Cornish Cottage Holidays, these are usually equipped with all you need, kitchen, bathroom, living rooms and bedroom all fully furnished. I hope this has been helpful and given you some ideas on where to go. If you decide to camp make sure the site you say at has wash facilities and power if needed. Without these you may not get clean and you may need waterless bathing products like dry shampoo.
