The dimensions for a beer pong table are not set in stone. However, the general consensus suggests that the table should be of adequate length and made in the shape of a rectangle. Most, if not all people use plywood that measures 4X8. This is a good length, but there are some people who prefer to shorten it by at least a foot or so. This depends on how the games rules go. Some people that play may want to keep the standard 4X8 size.

Here are some materials that you will need to make a beer pong table:

· Plywood that is cut in 4X8 pieces

· 2X4s and 2X6s

· Stain

· Screws

· L shaped brackets

· Sawhorses that are adjustable

· Lacquer (use spray cans)

· Masking tape

· White and green spray paint

You can purchase the materials at any major home improvement center. After you paint the plywood, you should seal it. Sealing over the paint helps not to incur any damage from other items. You can seal it with a few applications of polyurethane. In addition to that, other dimensions of the beer pong table you will use are the 2X4s to frame under the rectangular part of the table.

When you're ready to add color and stain to the table, this should be conducted in a room or area where you have plenty of air or ventilation. You don't want to spray paint or stain the table and inhaling a lot of fumes at the same time. It's not safe.

Make sure all of the plywood that you'll be using is the right size. Using the 2X6 dimensions for the beer pong table will help to create what is called a skirt. This part, along with the 2X4s will also go under the table area. You will have to use "L" shaped brackets to connect the 2X6 pieces of plywood.

Prior to attaching any of the bottom plywood pieces, it is important that each piece is cut and measured properly. If not, you will know when the table doesn't look even. After all the pieces are in place, you can do the staining process. On the top part, put at least two applications for a dark effect. If it doesn't look dark enough to you, then you may want to put on another application.
