Ice Age

If we are to believe the Ice Age, twenty thousand years ago, life on earth was not too good, my friend. We in the 21st century like to live dangerously as well, otherwise what's with all the cigarettes, cholesterol and alcohol, huh? But whatever the case maybe, at least the temperature is not all that low and we don't have to deal with sabre toothed tigers on the prowl. So guys, lend these three heroes of the latest computer animated generation your sympathy.

Manny, a wooly mammoth, Sid the sloth and Diego, the sabre toothed tiger (voiced by Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary respectively) form an unlikely pack to go against their migration instincts and work towards finding the humans who have lost their baby. Join them in their adventure as they get trapped in a cave and go sliding around, fight the pack of the sabre tigers and escape the volcano till they find themselves together and form the weirdest herd you would have heard of.

The animation is of the tune of Looney Toons and Sid, the sloth is the funniest guy around. Scrat, half squirrel, half rat (hence the name) is shown as a side issue who hilariously tries to bury the last acorn.

The relationship between Manny and Sid is like the one between the Ogre and the Donkey in Shrek. Also, the human animation looks plastic as compared to the animals. The movie is sure to keep you entertained with its amazing sense of humor and one liners if you try ignoring a few of these issues and of course the fact that all these animals co-exist in the ice age.
