The most important thing that you have is your life. It was a gift from God. Be thankful even in bad circumstances. Life is how you perceive it, keep a positive attitude so you will conceive it as precious. Do not get high on alcohol or drugs. You do not need an artificial stimulant, get high on the real stimulant-life. Treasure every moment. Respect your existence; do everything in your power to preserve it, and help others to respect and preserve theirs.

Do not compare yourself with others. That is like comparing apples and oranges. You are unique. There is no one exactly like you. Do not be concerned with what others can do. Do what you do can do. You must discover who you really are, your talents, passions and enjoyments. You get high on life by being thrilled with what you do, and being thankful for what you have been given.

Not only should you respect your life, you should respect the lives of others. Everyone came from the same God. You should also respect other people's rights. Do what you can to get along with everyone. Be friendly and kind to them. It is their problem if they refuse to be friendly with you. Do not consider yourself better or worse than others. Your task is to be the best you can be and help others to be the best they can be. Do what you do best and let them do what they do best.

Do not try to get even when someone does you wrong. There is no end to this type of response. If you do something against them, they will return the action on you. Forgive them and forget about it. This will release the burden you have been bearing. They may have misunderstood you. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Vengeance is for God. Man's wrath from anger does not bring about the righteousness of God. It makes things worse.

You get high on life by appreciation of God's blessings, your love life, your family, close friends, a job you love, hobbies and interests that fascinate you, the beauty of nature, and the joy of living. Negative attitudes, stress, difficulties, failures, and such like destroy your enjoyment of life, unless they are dealt with correctly.

You should not take difficulties personally, everyone has them. Tackle one day at a time, and solve as many problems as you can. If your project fails, it does not mean that you failed. It simply means that you need to correct the flaws and try again. Most people have to make some adjustments before they succeed. Stress is your reaction to mental or emotional strain. Instead of flying into a sour attitude, try to realize that success is nestled in the sweat, frustrations and difficulties. They are the means to reach your goal. Difficult problems are a sign success is yours if you are persistent.

Success comes from optimism. Successful companies, inventions and other useful endeavors are started by optimists. Aim high. Small dreams do not have the capacity to stir men's souls. Even if you do not make it to your goal, you will get closer than if you did not try. Goals illuminate the future so you can see how to get where you are going. If you do not set a goal, and plan how and when you will reach your target, you have no way of knowing where you will end up. You get high on life by becoming an optimist.

Jesus came to give you abundant life. It is up to you to take advantage of it. Christians have abundant life and are high on life. We cherish every moment. We can have joy in the midst of chaos because we know our Creator has everything under control, and has promised to cause everything to turn out right for us. We do the best we can, and do not worry about it. We let him handle it. Knowing him makes you an eternal optimist.
