Utilization of advanced technologies that are offered these days requires huge amount of responsibility. Just like the use of cellular phones and the internet that are considered as some of the softest technologies that can be easily penetrated by fraud and other illegal acts. Aside from the typical personal bank transactions schemes, financial institutions now consider doing transactions over the air waves and the internet. Not to mention the fact that most credit and banking companies use advance technological network backbones and databases for their record archiving and other banking related works. All these may sound so unreliable because of the fact that the documents that pass through tiny wires and invisible air waves are basically in a form of codes. However, advance technologies have also the answer in making all transaction secured.

Despite the extensive security measures that all financial institutions do for the protection of their clients, millions of fraud reports and identity theft are still being unsolved every year. This means that, there are quite big number of people that are victims of fund losses from their credit cards and even debit and bank savings cards. The need then for further and tight security is of great importance so for this crime to be stopped once and for all.

Credit card theft and other related crimes can be eliminated or lowered by means of responsible utilization of these new techies. More than your finances and credits, the most important entry in your accounts that must be protected is the identity. Because of the astounding number of reported scams on this crime, holders are advised to be more vigilant and observant in how they use their credit cards.

Just because identity theft posts many problems such as ruining your history and marring results done from criminal background check; or loosing millions of dollars for unsolicited transactions; or criminal suits for doing something one actually didn't do; ensuring and monitoring credit records are definitely important.

First, make sure that all your transactions are secured. When using the internet in paying bills and buying products, make sure that you only transact at sites that are highly secured and those that you can trace. Do not ever give your credit card identity over the phone unless otherwise you are the ones who solicited for it. Always make sure that your cards are properly kept. When purchasing at a shop, never allow a cashier carry your card away from your sight. Always have it checked after every purchase.

You can as well have your credit line checked online. With the use of online credit reports or your bank's hotline, you can possibly monitor the movements of your finances in the credit card. You can access the three major information service in the country; Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. They can help in letting you know much your credit line have fared for some time. Have a report at least once after three months or depending on the dates of billing of your bank or credit card provider. If you find any suspicious activity in your account, report it immediately to your provider and have your card blocked and replaced. Submit a report for possible identity theft so that you will be assured that your personal information will not be used for any criminal activity.

Technologies can make or break your finances, so you have to utilize these in your favor.
