Your diet is a crucial factor in determining your overall health. In combination with a course of regular exercise, it has a major impact on your well-being and appearance. Additionally, consuming fruit and vegetables wherever possible and drinking plenty of water will help to rid your body of toxins which cause negative effects on the health and appearance of your skin. Improving your general health would ultimately increase the quality of your skin, hair and teeth, leaving you looking and feeling great.

There is no doubt that a healthy diet equates to a healthy complexion. Give your body the proper fuels to run, and it can channel the best possible nutrients to hair, teeth, nails and skin. Consumption of fatty and greasy foods leads to poorer supply for the skin, and causes excess grease which will ultimately lead to spots and a poor complexion. There is not only overwhelming scientific proof of the adverse effects of an unhealthy diet, but also proof in ordinary human experience. If you eat unhealthy food, you will have an unhealthy body. There really is no great secret to eating well for you're the benefit of your skin.

You should initially throw in a few essentials to your existing diet. Fruit and vegetables should be introduced in abundance, and eaten with and between every meal. On top of that, you should consume around eight to ten glasses of water every day to keep your body fully hydrated. All other fluids will only dehydrate your body, so ensure you consume enough water whatever.

You should strive to remove fast food entirely from your diet, as it has nothing to offer nutritionally. Although an engrained part of modern life, fast food should be rejected at all costs, and will wreak havoc on your hair and skin. You should also avoid chocolates and sugary snacks, which can have a similar impact on the state of your health.

Your diet effects everything to do with your health and well-being. If you fuel your body with nutritionally void and fatty foods, you will see the result in your skin in no time. Not only will it look greasy and drab, you will also end up with spots and blocked pores. By simply sticking to a healthy diet with plenty of good foods and few 'bad', and a whole lot of water, you can significantly improve the quality of your skin.
