A Selection Of Reasons Why Moving State Side Was A Great Relocation For Our Office Space

I'll tell you the reason, I was delighted and blissful with where I was living currently.

We had a very nice house, a perfect family car and some parts of our life were a lot better and would make some people jealous.

I gave serious thought to whether I would miss having my family easily available and visiting any time that was convenient to me. There were even small things to miss too such as sausage sandwiches with brown sauce, a typical british fry-up with extra bread, the local post office that always called me by my name when I came in and even the old lady next door who baked our children muffins.

Whilst small things like that were very important, they couldn't be responsible for holding back my career and my family's fortune and the US office market was quickly becoming a favourable market price-wise and that we would lose out if we didn't go soon. I then decided I had to make an executive decision and tell the family that there would be no alternative but to move to the US office, to gain true expansion that we would have to move to the US.

To make sure there was no difficult transition, I ensured we had a lot of moves in place before we even landed, this was very reassuring to the children knowing they would be in a school that understood the situation of them leaving England and feeling a little unsettled by the whole experience. We had to make some stark choices and they weren't easy but we had to get the children to understand why we were moving.

The move has been and gone and I have to say that it has been a wonderful transition for us, we now love living here. So here's a few of my favourite things about living in the US.

1) The food is absolutely amazing. Whilst I did say I thought I would miss traditional British dishes, I can now see how wrong I was because the food over here is an experience in itself. I now get to eat in world famous restaurants with service that makes you feel like royalty and have food that is unrivalled in the parts of England that I have lived.

2) You get a beautiful, modern office. We then made the decision to take Columbus office space and we are delighted with the result. Important facilities are now under one roof such as modern furniture, a friendly receptionist and a conference room that is ideal for connecting with clients.

3) The people are warm. It does help that we are an English family and we have novel accents to our American friends but it's more than that as where we live we get treated with a higher level of respect and everyone seems to want to do their utmost to help us. Shopping here is a real treat with people helping you out as much as they can, no matter what you are buying.

That was just a small insight into the reasons why making the move to the USA has been a positive and now our lifestyle is even better.
