Today, almost everyone is optimizing the search engines for their site. Who would not? After being proven that SEO marketing can really do tremendous change to your site's traffic, why not maintain being on the top 10 rankings.

Here are important keys to remember to succeed in SEO.

1. Choose the keywords. Put yourself in the shoes of the people who are surfing the Internet. What could be those words that they would type if they are looking for that information.

2. Put those keywords in the right position. Make sure that the keywords that you will be using will be included in your title and subtitles. Also distribute those keywords throughout the content.

3. Provide significant content. Though you are maintaining a certain level of keyword density, make sure that your content will be very informative to the surfers out there.

4. Make it good in the link analysis. Search engines usually, check on the links on the page. It is better that you get links form good and popular sites that are related to your topic.

5. Stay away from search engine spamming. Of course your aim is to make it at the top rank in search engine. Spamming would not help you with this. You can be penalized and be banned in some listings once you are caught spamming.

Sometimes, the results may not come in instant. But a little patience and determination can lead you to going on to the top of the search engine ranking.
