The Ohio historical Center is a two story building located near the Ohio State Fairgrounds. It tells the story of Ohio from the ice age all the way to 1970. You can find native American artifacts, documents written by famous politicians and historical figures and much more. In the "Two Centuries of Change" exhibit you can learn about the states history from the frontier days until the 1970's. View artifacts such as civil war weapons, uniforms, vintage automobiles, pioneer clothing, spinning wheels and other objects that helped change and transform the state. Next visit the "Nature of Ohio" exhibit and learn about the plants, animals, geology, climate and geography of the state. Learn about extinct animals from the past, ice age history and current animals that thrive in the state. If that isn't enough, there is also the "Ohio's Garden Path" exhibit, the "Architecture" exhibit and much more. You can spend days exploring all that the center has to offer.
