Amateurs are known to dribble with only one hand: their dominant hand. It becomes easier for defenders to read them like an open book and steal the ball. Limiting your dribbling to one hand severely impairs your dribbling potentials. That is why it is important to know how to dribble using both hands.
Among the basketball training drills, the Double Dribble Drill is your best tool for this problem. Practice dribbling two balls at the same time, one for each hand. Do it for 5 minutes straight without losing control of the ball.
2.) Heads Up Dribbling Drill
New players also commit the common mistake of looking at the ball while dribbling. This can be bad as it will impair your vision of the court, impedes your teammate and opponent orientation, and many more.
There is no complicated way of learning heads up dribbling among the basketball training drills out there.
