Bonnie Raitt Got It Right
Every once in a while a fantastic song comes along that speaks to you and make you sit back and think. These are the songs that are worthy of becoming your theme music. They are the songs that have the potential to make you put on your favorite outfit or suit and power heels or shoes and strut your way to a new attitude. It is the song that makes you stop the madness and make changes you should have made years ago. It is the song that makes you stop tolerating un-fulfilling dead end jobs, toxic relationships and the dulling of your potentially brilliant mind. It is the song that helps snap you out of a rut or help steer you in a more productive and fulfilling direction. Music is not only a mood changer; it can be a catalyst to a life change.
I have faith that music is powerful. I know… I know it usually takes more than a song to make significant changes, but a song can be a start. My theme song is "Golden" by Jill Scott:

Does it get any better than that? I surround myself with visual representations of the song whether it is artwork, jewelry or my cell phone ring tone. I blast it in the car and sing it at the top of my lungs. It can set the tone for the day, the meeting, and the conversation, whatever. It lets you know you can choose to live juicy and make a bigger foot print in this world whether that change is how you navigate the boardroom, manage you own business, run the household or make a career transition. You own your own decisions and can make changes and attract amazing opportunities.
A good friend said to believe it, prepare for it and make it real. I believe that.
