President Barrack Obama Turns 49 This Week and Is Still in Great Shape

President Obama turned 49 this Wednesday and is saying that he can see how his metabolism is slowing down. Obama's diet is not perfect but he tries to eat healthy.

Obama likes snacks such as trail mix, nuts and granola bars. Luckily these snacks are a healthy choice; however, sometimes he indulges in cheese steaks, fried chicken, and pizza. He also burns a lot of calories because of his active lifestyle.

Obama enjoys:

- Planters trail mix: nuts, seeds & raisins- Roasted almonds - Pistachios - Water - Dentyne ice - Nicorette - MET-Rx chocolate roasted peanut protein bars - Vegetables, especially broccoli and spinach - Handmade milk chocolates from Fran's chocolates in Seattle

There are some foods that Obama does not eat, such as: mayonnaise, salt and vinegar potato chips, asparagus ("if no other vegetables are available, he'll eat it"), beets, soft drinks (he prefers water), and ice cream.

One of Obama's potential chefs proposed this diet for Obama:

Breakfast: It is not clear what Barack eats for breakfast, but it is probably something moderate in carbs and high in protein, chef hopes.

Snack: Obama has been known to treat himself to a refreshing ice. His potential chef would offer him organic fruit bars, sliced cheese, or a tuna salad with crackers.

Lunch: Obama likes Mexican food, so it seems safe to assume that a homemade chili, grilled vegetables and maybe a turkey burger are on his menu.

Dinner: Obama had gumbo while campaigning in New Orleans in February. But other alternatives come to mind. Think grilled chicken breast stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, garlic and pecorino Romano cheese, or grass-fed ribeye steak

Obama works out about 45 minutes, six days a week. He lifts one day, and does cardio the next day. According to him, he would spend 90 minutes working out if he had enough time.
