Sheryl Crow, Pivotal Moments
When it's you and you alone
Nobody else at home
When our ability ends
God's ability begins
That is if you will relinquish control
And simply welcome Him in
Transition and transformation
Illness and mental aggravation
Life changes affect us all
Be brave Sheryl and stand tall
Though you're bruised, raw, and vulnerable
Torn apart within
No bees or butterflies to make you spin
The absence of good humor to make you grin
This aint no country club
Life is not always fun in the sun
Undoubtedly from it sometimes we wish to run
Tearfully fresh and scarred
Deeply wounded and marred
Overwhelmed and overcome
Emotionally sideswiped feeling numb
Unable to articulate or explain
It's as if you're dumb
Rich but feeling like a beggar
Reaching for hope and some crumbs
Certainly nobody wants to be bailed on
Blinded by the dark
Now another has broke your heart
Insidious forces making prey of you
What's a girl to do?
In times of uncertainty
Silence is golden
No need to be presumptuously emboldened
Vulnerability and honesty is real
Transparency and self-awareness can heal
I can fully see
What love has made of thee
Your health another difficulty
Let me tell it to you slow
Identify what you already know
It's not having what you want
It's wanting what you've got
Ironically you're in the ideal spot
A place to process your inner pain
Experience personal transformation
Evolve into a new creation
A better, more dynamic woman
Beyond a beer buzz
Leaving Las Vegas
Pushing past your favorite mistake
Moving through life's lows
Learning as you go
Curving around winding roads
Sometimes kissing some toads
Tears of rage followed by
Throwing punches in the air
Getting to the point where you just don't care
So depressed you don't fuss with your hair
There is however a way out of there
This valley of despair
Being trapped in an emotional cave
When you desperately need to be saved
Feeling like there is nobody
Dreaming to be loved by somebody
Sheryl let me tell you
How to break this losing streak
Pray the Lord your soul to keep
Humbly bow before your Maker
Being mild and meek
Be quick to hear and slow to speak
Heartbreak takes the backseat to healing
Purge away the unnecessary baggage
We've all been there
It's not merely a cliché or adage
Circumstances and catastrophic events
Is where you meet yourself face-to-face
Peer into the depths within
Decide whether you'll be the victor or victim
Keep running for physical and personal well-being
Don't let fatigue mentally burden you
Nor those who question and don't understand you
Work when you can, rest when you must
Inwardly rise above every medical diagnosis
When undergoing the cruelest twist
Let your spirit carry you through the illness
Do what's best for you
Which in turn is ultimately best for others
Love yourself unashamedly
Endure self-criticism gracefully
Celebrate yourself wonderfully
Inner workings, devastating dealings
Such comes with the territory
When interacting with human beings
Acknowledge the psychological impact
Of being self-aware and incessantly feeling
Look at the positive aspects
Rejoice whenever someone rejects
For a disappointment
Is a set up for a divine appointment
Realize life is just messy
Unconsciously or subconsciously
Yield to universal serendipity
Yet take every initiative boldly
Embrace whatever may come fearlessly
Be heroic and don't hit the highway
Even free birds build nests
Do your best and forget about the rest
Disregard regret
Though it reminds you you're alive
Don't let it belittle or cause you to hide
Take that soulish mess for a ride
Turning the mess into a message
A fast machine to thrill the masses
Beware of insincere men who just make passes
Remind your fans that life
Is not always experienced through sunglasses
You've crossed the canyon 1,000 times
Often not knowing what you'd find
Nevertheless you pressed on
Strumming your guitar and singing your song
Sheryl, you're never alone
Neither a stranger in your own life
You will rise above this
Every moment you're off stage
You will be missed
When you feel lame
Keep looking up
Let the good Lord above
Lift you up
Replace anxiety with creativity
Remember your marvelous history
Self-titled and self-produced
Authentically continue
Doing life and music your way
Regardless of what others may think or say
Forge ahead at forty the new 20
You're still an attractive honey
You are who--or what
You make of yourself
Sheryl don't let anybody
Put you on the shelf
As for me
I'm betting on you, not against you
Believing big Daddy in the sky
To see you through
Fully heal and deliver you.
Did you know
When you go
Through countless life problems
That up above you've got a Friend
Faithful until the end
Always one step ahead
Of the curve around the bend
Don't be dreaming of yesterday
Sheryl, you make the most of today!
Nothing lasts forever
So you live life to the full right now
Wish fulfillment and true love
Will find you somehow
Love that lasts a lifetime
The kind Karla and I find sublime

The Almighty Matchmaker
Cares about your innermost needs
Deeply feels for you
Every time your heart bleeds
Undoubtedly there is
A soul mate for you
Sheryl Crow
You will soon know
What divine love can do
Broken engagements
Are a thing of the past
Get ready to be blessed
To rock on and have a blast
As for breast cancer
In Christ's Name we curse it
Never embrace or nurse it
For a miracle will reverse it
It must leave your body
I am confident of this
And am by no means haughty
I engineer breakthroughs throughout the earth
Bringing to humanity the new birth
Whereby they too can
Soak up the sun
Have some heavenly fun
Experience kingdom come
Partake of paradise
Taste newness of life
Sheryl, through your songs
You have comforted humanity
Now let your Creator change your destiny
Reaffirm and further establish your identity
Awake you to a newfound reality
Give you unconditional love and liberty
Abundant life mentally and physically
Wherewith you can live again wholeheartedly
Empower you to victoriously
Rise above your challenges triumphantly
Enter a new horizon with profound clarity
To live your dreams and blossom beautifully.
