Is it Possible to Watch Satellite TV on PC?
Is watching satellite TV on my PC possible? This is a question that has been asked a million times by many now. Well, the answer is yes, you can as long as you know how to do it. Let us see how this technology works.
There are several ways to watch your favorite show through your computers. Each way has its pros and cons. Some of these methods are just not suitable for a typical everyday person and some are just too expensive to acquire.
The most popular way is to sign up a contract with your satellite or cable TV provider which can offer you a monthly package. These packages normally come with over a hundred channels. Some providers offer other features like adding up channels but most of the time, you will get only few live satellite channels and the rest are already recorded programs.
You will then be required to have a monthly bill of about $20. Since live channels come in a few, you have to subscribe to live sports channels for additional programming. Additional channels would mean additional charges to top up your basic monthly charge. So that is about an additional $10 to be added up to your monthly $20.
Another way is to use the PCTV cards which can be bought in computer or hardware shops. These cards could cost about $100 or less. With the use of these cards, you can access over 100 channels and can be used on your PC to watch TV. It is cheaper than your monthly subscription but the programs are also limited. And some are just having a hard time installing it inside their PCs. There are upgraded versions of the card which can access up to 400 to 500 programs from different countries, but costs about $300 and up.
The newest way to watch satellite TV on your PC is with the use of software which can cost for about $50 and can give you access to over 3000 channels streaming from different countries all across the globe. The programs offered ranges from sports, news, movies, kids and entertainment. So, with this software, there will never be monthly bills again.
We now see that there are a lot of ways to watch satellite TV on PC. Programs come in variations because channels are streaming from free to air broadcasts. We can now enjoy the benefit of having two technologies combined.
