Relaxation Tips

Stress is a constant in our lives. There are good stresses and bad stresses-or rather what determines if it is good or bad is our reaction to it. There have even been studies that found that many sicknesses get started because of extreme stress, or the distress that we sometimes feel and hang on to. Because of that, it is important to find ways to relieve harmful stress. Everyone is different and everyone reacts differently to stress. So, you might need to experiment with different methods of stress relief. If you don't already know what works for you, take a look at the following list for some ideas.
Take A Nap: This is one of my personal favorites. When I am stressed out, I just need to sleep it off. It helps because it forces my body and mind to relax. I wake up refreshed and able to handle whatever stress there is.
Work Out: When I am stressed, I have the best workouts. I have all that pent-up tension in my body that just wants to be released. I run harder, faster, and stronger. And afterwards, I feel fantastic.
Talk it Out: This can be very therapeutic. And the other person doesn't even really need to respond. Sometimes, it just helps to get it all straight in your mind through verbal means. It is just easier to bounce solutions off of someone else.
Warm Bath: Relaxing your body is the key here. Just enjoy it. And if you want to add more serenity to your bath, add some Gary Young essential oil.
Laugh: This may seem silly, but laugh out your stress. You could watch a funny movie or read a funny book-whatever works for you. You'll be surprised at how great you feel afterward.
