Dont see competition as a threat, if there was no competition then it will not be making sales at the moment as the landing page does not convert.

Always check the landing page to ensure that it looks professional as well as looks something like you would be interested yourself. If its a poorly designed landing page then you will waste your time. There should be an opt in form that offers the visitor a chance to subscribe for a free report, the vendor will then follow up with a series of emails and will land the sale within a few days.

Another great thing to look for on a landing page of the offer is when you go to exit the page, does the website stop you exiting and offer you a discount, this increases the conversions and would also increase your commission so websites that utilise this will be better for you to promote.
