Thanks for Caring
When I didn't feel well
Thanks for sharing
When I didn't have much
Thanks for feeling
When I was without feeling
Thanks for being with me
When I was lonely
Thanks for continuing with me
Relationally and professionally
Thanks for listening
When nobody else would
Thanks for showing me unconditional love
When nobody else could
Thanks for going the extra mile
When it wasn't convenient or comfortable
Thanks for riding the bus with me
When I didn't have a convertible
Thanks for buying me groceries
When I was hungry
Thanks for making me smile
With your jokes so funny
Thanks for hugging me
When life got crazy
Thanks for helping me
When I came to my wits end
Thanks for being to me
My very best friend
Thanks for celebrating with me
My birthday and every day
No matter my miniscule victory
You rejoice with me triumphantly
Give of yourself wholeheartedly
Live and love passionately
Provide hope and life for me
Lift me beyond the agonies of the day
Kneel with me humbly and pray
Draw near when I'm having a bad day
Love me when I oppose myself
By the foolish things I sometimes say
Patiently endure me
When I get in your way
Organize me when all things have gone astray
Gently nurture me by what you say
Tenderly cuddle with me
At the break and end of each day
Kiss me so softly
And assure my heart so confidently
Bringing your light into my life
Removing all stress and strife
Lifting me up high like a kite
Restoring my vision and sight
Making all wrongs right.
