Writing and distributing press releases online is one of the keys to keep your name or your business fresh in your customers' minds. This will keep these people posted about your new achievements and they will feel loyal to you as you make them feel part of your success and milestones.

Here are the 7 challenging methods to supercharge your press release marketing:

1. Pay close attention to your headlines. Your titles must be benefits-oriented and very descriptive. People must have an idea on what is in store for them should they decide to read your content. Avoid too much promotional language or hype. Remember, you are delivering a news story.

2. Deliver information that are newsworthy. You shouldn't write a press release until you have great news to share to your readers. These include milestones reached by the company (ex. reached the 2 million subscriber benchmark), merger or partnership between your company and other entities, new product launch, and significant change on the leadership structure.

3. Talk directly to your readers. Make your readers feel that the news is intended for them so they will continue reading it. Emphasize the benefits that they can get from your content. Instead of using the third person, use "you" and "your" more often.

4. Keep your content concise. You have to strictly deal with facts when writing your press releases. You cannot use fancy words and lengthy introductions. You have to offer the information you have upfront without interpreting the facts. Remember, you cannot afford to mislead your readers as this can tremendously damage your online reputation.

5. Deliver quality content. Be very straightforward when delivering your news. Give your readers a brief background of your main topic and ensure that you answer all the who, what, why, when, and how questions that might come up. Ensure that your press releases are well-written; they must be free from grammatical, factual, punctuation, and spelling errors.

6. Leave as much contact information as possible. Encourage your readers to send in their comments or feedback by giving them several ways on how to contact you or your company. Leave the person that they need to contact, your business phone number, website address, fax, phone and email address.

7. Distribute your articles online. Scour the internet for leading press release sites where you can post your copies so you can easily connect with your target audience.
