God's Glory Is for You!
Do you know that you are covered with the glory of God? If you are saved, you are a child of God and a brother or sister of Jesus through the Holy Spirit that lives in you! (Rom. 8:11) Jesus is the firstborn among many siblings, (Rom. 8: 29) being the first human being to enter bodily into heaven.
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14: 6) If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, you will have everlasting life, and will be raised up by Jesus on the last day. (John 6: 44, 40)
Jesus explained that as He was in the Father and the Father in Him, so you are in Him. The Father was speaking and working miracles through Him. The same way, if you believe in Him, the Holy Spirit in you will work miracles according to your faith! (John 14: 10-13) Whatever you ask the Father in Jesus? Name, He will do in order to glorify the Father! (John 14: 13)
Can you even begin to imagine what it means to be an inheritor of the Glory and Power of Jesus? resurrection? You have inherited the righteousness of God by faith. It's not something anyone can earn.
You are not here by accident, nor did God choose you in vain to be His child. He has a divine purpose for you. His Glory equips you to carry out His Will "until we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ!" (Eph. 4:13)
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you! He reactivated your mortal spirit and connected it with the Almighty! God has given you a name better than of sons and daughters. He gave you an everlasting name that shall not be cut off. (Isa. 57: 5) That Name is Jesus, "of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named." (Eph. 3: 15)
No, the Lord will never share His Glory another! He shares it only with Jesus! And you are complete in Him! (Col. 2:10)
"Arise, shine; for your Light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!" (Isa. 60:1) The Lord has called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you to be a light to the world. (Isa. 42:6) Go and shine in a dark world that desperately needs to know how much God loves them. That is how the Father will be glorified in the Son! (John 14: 13)
Would you like to become more like Jesus and know Him more intimately day by day? Paul's prayer below is powerful and wonderful to meditate on it daily. May I suggest you make it your very own, like this:
Father, I ask that You would grant me, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might by your Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in my heart by faith; that I, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that I might be filled with all the fullness of God.? (Eph. 3: 16-19)
