There are many teeth whitening products on the market, but before you rush out and purchase one with the idea of making your smile look as white and shining as your favourite movie star, you need to find out which is the most suitable product for you. Everyone has different teeth and some people may have crowns or fillings that are starting to look a little yellow.
Unfortunately, teeth whitening products will not work on teeth that are not natural. This will give you a two-toned look of really white teeth and same old yellow or discoloured fillings. Not what you wanted!
Many teeth whitening products contain chemicals that make your teeth really sensitive. Sometimes this only lasts for a little while, but it can last longer and be worse in some cases, depending on the state of your teeth. Not all teeth are suited to teeth whitening products. You really need to consult a dentist who will advise you what will best suit your particular teeth.
Teeth whitening products include gels to use with a special teeth tray, abrasive tooth paste and even laser technology that is done by the dentist in conjunction with a stable peroxide gel. This latter option is considered to be the best teeth whitening product, but of course it costs more and you need to visit the dentist to have it done.
