Transpersonal Possibilities
The term transpersonal is often used to refer to psychological categories that transcend the normal features of ordinary ego-functioning. That is, stages of psychological growth, or stages of consciousness, that move beyond the rational and precedes the mystical. Can you say mystical? I believe we are moving into an era of immense transpersonal possibilities between now and 2012.
Transpersonal psychology is a school of psychology that studies the transcendent or spiritual aspects of the human experience. And for some reason the institutional church runs from such. Of course if it's not totally doctrinal, theological, legal, and traditional why would the church want to get involved?
Why indeed! :-(
Believe it or not, telesomatic healing, sympathetic magic, non-local medicine, spiritual healing, and intercessory prayer are all of the same primary variety. Of course the methods vary; however, the benevolent aspects of all is for the betterment and healing of another. And that's bad?
Shamans, witch doctors, and others who practice voodoo live on the fringes or in the margins of the abvoe practices, but they exist and are undeniable. Much like "Twin telepathy" and the experiments of Guy Playfair, facts are facts. Guy has separated identical twins by miles and shocked one with a loud sound and in so doing was able to record that smae body reaction on the twin miles away- unable to hear the sound.
We need a spiritual awakening!
Joel Goldsmith was able to heal people 5,000 miles away and renowned physician Larry Dossey calls the era that we're moving into " Era III of non-local medicine" (following Era I- biochemical medicine, and Era II- psychosomatic medicine). As Larry writes on his web page, "I used to believe that we must choose between science and reason on one hand, and spirituality on the other, in how we lead our lives. Now I consider this a false choice. We can recover the sense of sacredness, not just in science, but in perhaps every area of life."
There's a world awaiting our discovery. The world is much greater than ME- the I! The problem is that we're too self-absorbed and caught up in our egoic trips to think outside the box- outside self. But events headed our way between now and 2012 will force us to think anew about the WHOLE and not just the SELF!
The transpersonal possibilities are numerous and highly needful- NOW!
