In order to be great at something you need to practice your heart out. This goes for any type of sport that you are interested in playing. One of the hardest games to learn is hockey. But with the right amount of practice and the right practicing techniques you could become a pro.

One of the best things that can help to improve your game are drills. Drills are the specific time you will use to help practice your techniques and to improve. Drills can be practicing hitting, flicking or pushing the puck, dribbling, shooting at the goal, or practicing penalty shots. You will get a chance to practice these drills between two players or with the whole team.

However, some of us need a bit more help. That is when we provide you with the best hockey tips that will make you a better player.

1. Learn from what other and more experienced players do. There's nothing wrong with going to someone else for advice. Listen to what they have to say and learn from it.

2. Learn from your mistakes while playing ice hockey. We make mistakes so that we can learn from them not so that we can repeat them over and over again.

3. Use what works and improve it. Sometimes we make shots that we didn't mean to but they work well. Learn how to improve upon them and keep it.

4. Play by the rules. In order to do this you need to know what the rules are and how to follow them. Don't be giving your team penalties.

5. Warm up before each game. This will make it easier for you to play the whole game without getting tired early into it. During your warm up make sure that you stretch out your muscles to prevent injuries.
