Promotional Pens And The Art Of Color

When it comes to promoting businesses, few approaches are as popular or as wide spread as promotional pens. Pens are small, easy to carry, extremely useful to just about anyone anywhere, and are easy to give away to your customers, possibly to be passed on to potential clients in the future where new business can take root and grow. Promotional pens are a great way to get your business and your name out there and should not be overlooked when you are doing your advertising.

Cheap plastic pens are the norm in this case, however metal pens can leave behind an incredible impression and will last your customers longer since they will be more likely to take better care of them. If you have a good enough metal pen, your customers might even be inspired to find the ink to refill them when they run out rather than buying a new pen.

Metal pens are almost always offered in a simple chrome finish, which might be exactly what you had in mind for your promotional campaign, however you should not overlook the possibility of using color to great effect in your promotional pens. The right colors can evoke certain feelings in people, and might even make them more or less interested in your business as a result.

In general, the two colors other than polished metal and black that you will find are blue and red. These colors are the most common for good reason, as they tend to get people's interest in your business, however they could also make your pens fade into the background along with all of the other red and blue promotional items that your client has received. The ideal would be to match your promotional pen to your company's logo colors.

If your company logo does not have a distinct color, or if you would rather take things in a different direction, consider bold and interesting colors like green to spice up your metal pens and still get the interest of your clients. Green metal pens might just have your client thinking about the money that you can make working together, and that is just what you want them focusing on.

Colors can be hard to find in promotional metal pens in some cases, especially if you hope to have the metal itself tinted in any way. Red and blue will show up frequently, but you may have to look to accessories like the pen grip for color in many models. This can actually be a blessing, because promotional pens look even nicer and are likely to get even more use when they are of a style that is comfortable to use. Grips are extremely comfortable for many people, so this solution might just be the answer to two problems in one.

No matter what color you go for, your customers are sure to recognize the extra effort that you went to in order to make your company and your metal pens stand out from the rest.
