Playing With Friends: the Bean Bag Game

If you want to do something fun and different with your friends, you could play the bean bag game. Some people call it the Cornhole game, but it's essentially the same thing. If you want to play the bean bag game, you can learn how to do it very easily. There are no difficult rules to learn, and there isn't any physical exertion, which means that anyone can play it. You can be young or old, in good shape or not, and it doesn't matter. The basic premise of the game is that you toss small, filled, weighted bags at a hole in a board. If they go in you get points. If they stay on the board but don't fall in, you get some points, too. You take turns with your friend until one of you makes it to 21 points and wins the game. If you want, you can play it in groups, too, but the rules will be just a little bit different. Some people like it so much that they organize tournaments and play it that way. They can win cash and prizes, and best of all they can enjoy a fun afternoon playing the game with their friends. That's mostly what the bean bag toss is all about.

It's a great game for tailgating parties and other get-togethers, and the board is small enough to fit in the trunk of a large car. It also fits easily in the bed of a pickup truck. Some people will remember this game from the days when they were in elementary school and had to play it in their physical education class. It's not just a kid's game, though, and a lot of adults play it well into their golden, senior years. They enjoy the game, but they enjoy the companionship of their friends and family even more. It's not like video games, where people often don't talk that much when they play either against one another or with one another. The bean bag game invites conversation, laughter, and a feeling of companionship that can't be found with a lot of other games. The people who already play the game quite often know that. They also know that even more fun can be had if you and your friends built your own bean bag board. You can even make the bags, too, and have your very own, homemade bean bag toss.

In order to make a bean bag game board, you'll need some basic woodworking skills and some basic tools, but most people have these things. It's basically just a matter of finding some good directions (you can get them for free on the Internet) and following them carefully. Read through them a couple times first. Make sure you have all your tools ready. If you get everything together first, you should have no problem making your own bean bag game, and you'll have a lot of fun with it after it's completed. Not only that, but you'll be proud of your accomplishment, as well.
