Trying to Conceive a Baby? How to Get Healthy to be Successful

If you are trying to have a baby, get as fit and healthy as possible!

A baby will normally only be born if it is healthy and strong enough to survive in the wild. In addition, a healthy baby will only be conceived if the potential mother and father are both healthy. This is because our genetic make up (and all species) is geared for our offspring to continue our genes. It is survival of the strongest and ill-health will stop the body from reproducing.

This was shown by Francis Pottinger in is experiments detailed in his book "Pottinger's Cats" in the 1930's. When he fed cats cooked or processed foods they tended to become unwell, unsocial, they began fighting each other and after 3 generations they become unable to reproduce. At the same time, the cats fed with natural uncooked foods were perfectly healthy and continued to produce offspring.

Some people may say that we are not cats and they would be correct. However, there have been a number of experiments performed on animals where nutritional manipulation matched the health and disease of the human population who ate similarly.

Sir Robert McCarrison's study on rats during the first world war shown that rats fed the Hunza diet were healthy like the Hunza tribes if India. On the other hand, other rates were fed the typical English diet of the time and the rats suffered similar health problems to the English population.

It is interesting that we are now coming up to the third generation of people on poor diets and we are seeing a huge growth in infertility just like in Pottinger's experiments. Therefore, we are now seeing a huge increase in fertility treatments.

I have also had discussions with William Wolcott, author of the Metabolic Typing Diet and founder of Healthexcel Inc on this subject. Wolcott suggests that if a baby is born to unhealthy parents, the child takes on the weaknesses of the parents, many of which can not be reversed. I see many people today that have typical signs of malnourished parents like crowded teeth and flat feet being just 2 examples.

Indeed, Weston A. Price a Dentist in the 1920s and 1930s in the U.S.A. travelled the world and studied indigenous tribes. He noted that those who ate foods grown and raised locally to their environment had perfect health, reproduced easily, had little birth complications and didn't even have a word for cancer. The natives had great bone structures and aged without many health problems.

He noted many bone malformations in his patients who were eating an inadequate diet. Not only that he also found that when natives were taken away from their local food supply and ate what he called white man's food (white sugar, white flour, processed salt and pasteurised dairy), they developed many diseases which required medical attention such as cancer, tuberculosis and tooth decay.

So what do you do if you are looking to conceive? You follow the Foundations of Health Principles and build health from the ground up by:

• Thinking Positive Thoughts

• Breathing Correctly

• Drinking right (a minimum 0.033 litres per kilogram of body weight per day of good quality water)

• Eating right for your Metabolic Type

• Exercising correctly for YOU.

• Sleeping from 10pm - 6am each day.

Our ancestors managed to survive for millions of years without IVF. How?

• Thinking positively

• Breathing correctly

• Remaining hydrated

• Eating foods that were readily available to their local environment

• Hunting, gathering and building shelter for exercise and avoiding their predators.

• Sleeping at sun down and waking at sunrise.

Good luck!
