For those who are quite new to Facebook, to 'tag'someone in a photo is to connect them to that photo so that it is shown as a photo that they are in. You can then search for all of the photos that a certain friend has been tagged in - as such, it is a way of viewing all of the photos of a particular person on Facebook. This guide explains how to tag a friend on Facebook in five simple steps.

Step 1

Ensure that you are logged onto your Facebook account and then visit your profile page (you can do this by clicking on your small profile image on the top left corner of the main Facebook page).

Step 2

Then go to the 'Photos' area above where it is written 'What's on your mind?' and go down the page to find your own photo albums.

Step 3

Select the photo album that you want to tag and find the photo in the album that you want to tag your friend in.

Step 4

Once you have located the photo, select the 'Tag this photo' link which is situated underneath the image on the right.

Step 5

You can then click on your friend in the photo, and enter their name into the space. They will then be tagged in the image. You can either go through your album and tag more photos, or you can finish by clicking the 'Finished tagging' box above the photo.

Evidently, it is actually very easy to tag your friends in photos. It is a useful way of sharing photos and ensuring everyone can see your photos on Facebook. It is also very fun!
