Fix a broken zipper easily and quickly

A cloth with a broken zipper is unbearable, whether it is new or untidy or old. In its place, repair the zipper or change it with a fresh one.
Things required:

1. Sewing scissors needle nosed pliers, needle, seam ripper, sewing machine, and straight pins.
2. Small safety pin, thread, alternate zipper, old zipper of same size.
3. In case of missing teeth close to the zipper bottom, sew a new end above the path. Or drag the slider on top of the hole and sew a fresh end on the track.

Process of repairing:

Before deciding to Fixing Zippers, inspect it cautiously to check if it is repairable or not. Incase of missing tooth in the upper 2/3 of the zipper's path, the zipper must be changed. If it is missing close to the bottom of the tracks, zip up the fastener for not damaging the slider above it. String a needle and give some stitches on the both rows of the teeth, just on top of the absent tooth, to make a fresh end for slider. Stitch on the stop more than a few times to get a firm slider.

Incase of missing pull tab ensure whether the slider got a hole in the place of pull tab. If so, slide a small safety pin from side to side of the hole to provide alternate. If no hole, try to recover a pull tab from old zipper of a same size, put the tab on the slider with needle-nosed pliers.

When the slider is not on the track on a metal zipper, cautiously rip the stitching out around the minor part of zipper tapes. Snoop off the metal stopper at the base of the zipper take care, not to tear the tapes. Take away the zipper base completely.

Direct the track tapes in the grooves of slider by inserting it on the top and approaching them through the slider to the bottom. Use a pin if essential to make the track tapes through. Now pull the tapes cautiously and check that the slider is consistently seated on the tracks.

One can handle Fixing Zipper by himself by a little afford. There is no need to go to tailor.

Going to tailor or to trash is not the only options for ripped or old clothing. A few minutes of work can give spoiled clothes a fresh look on life. Get recommendation on correctly washing, caring and keeping clothes, and this can keep cloths long-lasting.
